Cycle path Bečva
Total length is 152.6 km, total elevation approx. – 929 m, total ascent approx. 991 m and total descent approx. – 1701 m
You can look forward to a pleasant ride through varied countryside on safe roads. A large part of the cycletrack is on newly constructed sections with the exclusion of motor traffic. Part of the route is on lightly trafficked local roads and paved forest and field paths, and the real minimum of the route so far has to be done on roads.
You can see the beautiful nature of the Beskydy Mountains, Wallachian wooden houses scattered around the villages and towns of the region or concentrated in the Rožnov open-air museum. You will be able to stop in the centres of historic towns with many interesting sights, such as Vsetín, Valašské Meziříčí, Hranice, Lipník nad Bečvou or Přerov. You can visit museums, castles and castles directly on the route or in its close vicinity. More information on the website of the cycle path.
Thermal pools
Enjoy water fun in the Beskydy Mountains all year round, regardless of the weather. Enjoy swimming in the thermal pools of the Wellness Horal relaxation centre with salt water heated up to 36 °C. After an active day in nature, you can relax in the pleasantly heated mineral-rich mountain water.
The pools are filled with water from our own borehole from a depth of 100 metres, which, due to its high quality, is only slightly chemically treated before use within the framework of hygiene standards and then heated to the temperature of thermal springs – the swimming section up to 28 °C and the relaxation section up to 33 – 36 °C. The water contains minerals that have beneficial effects on the skin.
The beneficial effect is multiplied by the use of pure sea salt from Italy, of which we consume up to 70 kilograms a day.

Lookout towers
The new wooden lookout tower near Velke Karlovice on Miloňová Hill (846 m) rises to a height of 24 m and offers beautiful views of the Javorníky Mountains.
Enjoy the view of Wallachia from the new lookout tower Miloňová above Velke Karlovice. The wooden tower is 24 metres high and stands on a stone platform. The observation platform, 20 metres above the surrounding terrain, offers a circular view of the surrounding landscape. Velké Karlovice is situated in beautiful countryside. Although popular ridge routes offer views of the surrounding mountains, the lookout tower is built so that you can see both the ridge of the Vsacky Beskydy and the Javorníky Mountains at the same time.
You can reach the tower, for example, by following the green hiking trail that starts in the valley of Lésková. You can also connect to the circuit at the crossroads directly above the Lanterna Hotel, at the top of the Galik ski slope. From here, the lookout tower is 2 km away. Around the tower there is also a “children’s” hiking trail called Treasure Hunt on Galik.
Bathing
The natural swimming pool called Na Stanoch in the village of Nový Hrozenkov in the Vsetín region is located by the artificial Lake Balaton, which covers an area of 9.5 hectares. It lies on the border of the town of Karolinka and the village of Nový Hrozenkov. There are sanitary facilities, a cafeteria, a beach volleyball court.
The centrepiece of the Na Stanoch natural area is a man-made lake, which none of the locals call anything other than Balaton or Kačák. On hot summer days, the otherwise calm surface of the 9.5 hectare “Balaton” is stirred up and becomes a centre of refreshment, water fun, sports and entertainment for visitors not only from the surrounding villages, but also from distant towns and even from Slovakia.
Balaton offers both grassy and sandy beaches. Visitors have sanitary facilities (changing rooms, showers, toilets), refreshment stands, a playground for children and a beach volleyball area. In the summer evenings there are various music and dance events. Parking is available at the lake. There is also an artificial ski slope for acrobatic jumps into the water on skis and boards. In winter, the “Balaton” turns into a skating area.
